Abstract Universe - Downtown Art Gallery

I named this piece Abstract Universe, a strong architectural art piece and yet its undeniable roots come from a traditional stained glass art form. The preconceived notion that stained glass belongs in churches and temples is yet again rejected with a piece like this one.

This piece was installed today in a new art gallery in downtown San Antonio. Although not very noticeable in the photos, all of the elements of this composition are different textures of clear glass, giving the main features a sense of floating in a sea of swirled hand rolled clear glass.

Maybe in this one taken from a side the different textures and beveled pieces are more noticeable. The glass just sparkles!
